Can anyone recommend an insurer that doesn't go overboard with premiums for an end can which will add less than 4bhp onto 108bhp at the wheel?

Been looking today and it they want to charge £400 for just having an arrow titanium can on the 675.

Try MCE or Bikesure, Bikesure didn't even bat an eyelid when I had a non standard can on my old r1! :thumb:

It was bikesure that wanted to charge £400 extra, some wanted £800 extra and wanted over a grand for a standard bike

+2 for MCE. £106 for TPFT on mine, with Akro exhaust and Givi luggage declared. But its only a sportstourer eh Jack :taunt:

The 2nd is again on behalf of Teaandmedals who got quoted £247 for a BMWS1000RR using his NR33 postcode. :thumb:

there is a lot to be said for Ash's suggestion but not condoning that

Cheapest quote I got on my 1098 was £450 with loads of companies to choose from on Go compare, when I said the Duc had Termi's on it the cheapest then was £700 and only 3 would insure it, the 3 quotes were £700, £1500 and £6500 what the hell is that all about.
I did do the proper thing and pay the £700 for piece of mind. Im still guessing I can get spot fines but atleast the insurance side of it is covered
