About Us

Welcome to East of England Bikers, a website, forum and chatroom for motorcycle owners and enthusiasts from all over East Anglia.

It doesn’t matter what bike you ride, from a Honda CBR 125 to a Yamaha R1 or a Suzuki Bandit to a Harley Davidson, you’ll find members on the forum from Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridge, and a few from even further afield, all of which are willing to share their knowledge of motorcycles with you.
Great advice is given on all things bike, from trackday advice, mechanical advice, legal advice and anything else you’d like to ask about motorcycles.
Maybe you can share your bike knowledge on the forum too.

Ride out, meeting at Beccles, SuffolkThe forum is also used to organise meet ups at some of the regions biggest bike meets, such Yarmouth White Swan, Hartford Marina, Great Bentley and Wickhambrook.

Local rides out around Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire are also very common through out the year. So if you fancy some company on a ride out, put up a post in the “Rides Out” section on the forum. Some members on the forum have also been know to organise further a field rides such as Wales and Belgium.

The occasional social event is organised in the “Idle Banter” section on the forum. We’ve had the odd BBQ in the summer, a beer somewhere and trips to places such as Alton Towers have been organised.

EoEB members at Snetterton trackdayTrackdays are regularly attended by East of England Bikers members. Members usually book through one of the UK’s professional trackday organisers, such as Motorsport Vision, Focused Events, Hottrax or No Limits, and then place a post on the forum in the “Track Days” section to see if anybody else from EoEB will be there, or maybe tempt them into booking up, or maybe just spectating.

It doesn’t matter what race, sex, age or motorcycle you ride if any,
all the members on East of England Bikers have one thing in common…. Their love for motorcycles.

So sign up, it’s very simple, click on “Forum”, and then click “Register”, all you need is a valid email address.

We look forward to seeing you online!

Afternoon all, hope you are all well, Not sure if it's already been discussed but I posted this up on another forum I'm a member & thought you might be interested to.The impact of this change will be felt by the bike industry as a whole, it could mean less bikers & legal riders on the road, this could also be the death of quiet a few schools due to the cost of changing or buying new bikes. If you know anyone who is wanting to get their bike license I would advise they do it as soon as possible, if left to the last moment they could miss out due to time factor & weather conditions, If schools are on the ball they will be already advertising & getting themselves ready for the new changes so they are financially in a stronger position due to any slump in business after this comes in.http://assets.dft.gov.uk/dsa/advisor/EU ... n_2013.pdfThere is a couple of things the industry is waiting on info for, The DSA are deciding what they are doing with re-guarding retests, they will either make you do a test all over again or give training bodies the power to sign someone off to ride a bigger CC bike. CBT's are still 16+ however the speed limit is lowered to 28mphAt 17 you can still take your test on a 125 however you will have this license indefinitely unless you want to go to a bigger bike then you have to re sit your test at 19, 21 or 24At 19 you take a restricted test, if you want to go up to a bigger bike you take a test its either 21 or at 24At 21 again a restricted test & as above if you want to go to a bigger bike.At 24 you can now do direct access (DAS) There is a lot of other bits & pieces that also need to be taken into consideration, Current Mod1 one certs last 2 years however if I understand the changes correctly...... if you already have one & it's not the right power/cc for the test you will be taking in 2013 you will have to re-sit your Mod1 on the appropriate machine.

What sort of mileage are you getting out of your bikes? My FZ6 is currently doing 38mpg, which is riding sensibly on the daily commute. What seems odd is i was getting 55mpg during the summer, and that was riding fast on ride outs.Is the low mpg due to stop/start riding during the winter, or signs that something may be wrong? My R1 was more economical than the FZ!!

  • Motorcycle Chat • Disused Airfield- RAF Sculthorpe January 25, 2012
Hey, initially I was just looking around on the net for disused runways in Norfolk and Suffolk area to go check out on the bike. But then came across RAF Sculthorpe which is still used by the MOD for training exercises etc but when they are not there it appears no one uses it. Saw another post on it on a different forum, and looks like an interesting place to look around. Anyone been there?http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=4108

For those of you that haven't seen this.http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/sport ... ream-team/Will be really good to watch providing he can stay on the thing, which lets face it he struggled to do on the Aprillia, although he was and is very fast. I really hope they have success as an all British outfit!!
